Proposed business ventures

Over the summer my sister and I are setting up a stall at an arts and craft fair in my local area of Stockport. The fair is situated in Broadstone Mill that also has open artist and designers studios that are situated there all week. The The tables are £13.50 to buy and the fair runs on the last sunday of every month.

I feel that this will be an excellent opportunity to set up a mini business whilst I am still at university to give me a taster of how to manage cost, attract customers, generate a profit and most importantly meet contacts.



Not only that but Broadstone Mill also offers the opportunity to rent a studio space for around 100 pounds pcm (plus tax). This is something I was to look into as a possibility after I graduate as it is close to home so I won't need travel costs and the unit come with telephone lines and internet.
